Howard County Foster Parent Opportunity

The Howard County office of the Indiana Department of Child Services is hosting three informational meetings for prospective foster parents. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what fostering entails.

When: This Saturday, April 11
               10 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Where: Howard County office of the Indiana Department of Child Services
                 217 East Southway Blvd.
                #202
                Kokomo, IN 46902

Foster care specialists from Howard County will discuss foster parent responsibilities, the licensing process and home studies. A licensed foster parent will also be in attendance to answer questions for prospective foster parents. Those interested can be stay-at-home parents, work outside the home, be homeowners or renters.

Howard County is in great need of foster parents as we currently have 131 abused or neglected children living in foster homes. If you have a willingness to step up and help a child in need, I encourage you to attend the meeting and learn more about this opportunity.
