Applications available for On My Way Pre-K

The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) is now accepting applications for the On My Way Pre-K Pilot Program in Allen County. This program provides the opportunity for low-income families to access a high-quality, pre-k program for their children.

In order to apply for the program, families must have the following:

  • A family income at or below 127 percent of the federal poverty level;
  • A child that is 4 years old by August 1, 2015; and
  • That child will begin kindergarten in August 2016.

Families that receive a grant are able to choose from a list of the enrolled On My Way Pre-K providers in Allen County. Click here to see the full list of providers. For programs to qualify, they must be top-ranked at level 3 or 4 on Path to QUALITY or be accredited by an approved national or regional accrediting body.

If you are interested in applying or would like more information about this program, click here. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2015. I encourage families from our community to learn more about the program and find out if they are eligible to apply. I look forward to the positive impact this Pre-K Pilot Program will have for the families and students in our community.
