Dear friend,
Recently, the Workforce Innovation Council, of which I am a member, met to discuss a variety of topics including Greater Clark County Schools' PRIDE (Persistence, Respectfulness, Initiative,
Dependability and Efficiency) program.
The PRIDE Program allows schools to address common expectations and assess student performance as it relates to college and career readiness, positive behavior interventions and work ethic. Individual schools incorporated these into their 2014-15 school year to guide them through the program expectations and to acknowledge positive student behavior.
The goal of the Workforce Innovation Council is to establish comprehensive career readiness and employability skills standards, and ensure these are available to students well before graduation.
As your State Representative, I remain committed to helping Indiana maintain its business-friendly environment by keeping our historic jobs numbers growing. Part of that larger effort is ensuring Hoosier students are prepared to enter the workforce.
Sincerely,
State Rep. Dick Hamm
