I am excited to announce that I will be hosting a Family Day at the Statehouse this session on Monday, March 23rd. I invite families from our local community to join me at our state's capital. This will be a great chance to experience the legislative process, hear from state leaders and learn about other student opportunities.
Family Day will begin at 10 a.m. when families meet me and my staff beneath the rotunda in the Statehouse. We will start with a tour of the Statehouse and end in the House Chamber for pictures. At 11, the intern directors for the House will talk about the internship opportunities available with the House Republicans. There will be a lunch break from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. After lunch, there will be a tour of Auditor Crouch's office and Lt. Governor Ellspermann's office. At 1 p.m., there will be an opportunity for pictures on the Senate floor before session begins at 1:30 p.m. I encourage families to watch session from the House gallery.
Families will be guided by myself or my staff throughout the entire day.
