Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the abundant blessings that have been poured down upon us: for country, for community, for homes, for our family, our neighbors and our friends.
We’re also grateful for those who voluntarily serve us on Thanksgiving Day, away from family — those in our military, law enforcement and public safety.
Indiana has always been my home. Those of us who live here in Indiana know it to be a special, giving place. We know Hoosiers to be neighborly, generous and always willing to lend a helping hand. I’m grateful and honored to be able to serve my fellow Hoosiers!
Indiana is our home and I’m reminded of these words written by William Herschell, in his poem, 'Ain’t God Good to Indiana?'
This year, let’s not let consumerism overcome the spirit of giving thanks. Take a moment, with family and friends and thank Him who has bestowed so much on us!
