Community breakfast for Honor Flight of southern Indiana
I am so excited that an Honor Flight hub was recently established in southern Indiana. The Honor Flight Network, a non-profit organization, was established to honor veteran's for their sacrifices by providing them free transportation to visit and reflect at war memorials in Washington, D.C.
To provide more information to veterans and our community, a breakfast event is being held so the public can learn more about our new Honor Flight hub serving 14 southern Indiana counties:
When: Tuesday, May 5th, at 8 a.m.
RSVP by April 29th
Where: Solarbron at the Pointe
1501 McDowell Rd.
Evansville, IN 47712
Call (812) 985 - 9955 by April 29th to RSVP for this breakfast. I encourage those that are interested to attend this event so that you can learn more about volunteer opportunities and other ways to support this non-profit. Click here to visit the Honor Flight of southern Indiana website for information regarding the veteran application, how to donate and more.
As a legislator, I am proud to serve our community and local veterans. Our Hoosier service men and women sacrificed so much for our freedoms and the Honor Flight Network provides a tremendous opportunity to give back to them. I hope everyone in our community will attend this wonderful event.
