Note to the PressState Rep. Michelle Davis (R-Whiteland) sent the following letter to the commissioner of the Women's National Basketball Association on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. In 2022, Davis authored a law protecting fair competition in girls' sports by prohibiting biological males from competing on female teams at the K-12 level. In 2025, she championed another law extending these protections to the collegiate level. For her legislative efforts on the issue, Davis was invited to the White House in 2025 for the signing of an executive order titled "No Men in Women's Sports."
