Community Involvement:
State Rep. Julie McGuire was elected to the Indiana General Assembly in November 2022. She was born and raised in Indianapolis, and gained experience through serving in the community, and working with nonprofits and in state government.
As the state representative for House District 93 in Marion County, McGuire will continue supporting parental rights and the rights of the unborn, educational choice for Hoosier students, the Second Amendment and law enforcement.
Her professional development includes completing the Hunt Institute’s Early Childhood Policy Academy and the Family Policy Foundation’s Statesmen Academy. She is also an alumna of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series and a member of the National Academy for State Health Policy’s Health Cost & Containment Workgroup. In 2025, she was appointed to serve on the All Payer Claims Database Advisory Board.
McGuire and her husband, Mark, are the proud parents of four children: Sophia, Grace, Brady and Mark. They are longtime members of St. Roch Catholic Church in Indianapolis.

STATEHOUSE – State Representative Cindy Kirchhofer (R-Beech Grove) authored House Bill (HB) 1007, Domestic violence prevention and treatment, to support Indiana’s domestic violence programs. One of the priorities of the House Republican legislative agenda is to address some of the public safety concerns impacting Indiana, particularly in the area of domestic violence. The bill was co-authored by State Reps. Julie Olthoff and Dave Frizzell, HB 1007 passed unanimously out of the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee today.
