Occupation: Development Director and Business Owner

State Rep. Cory Criswell was elected to the Indiana General Assembly in November 2022. A lifelong resident of Henry County, Criswell works as the Development Director for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and owns and operates Criswell Lawn Care. He was previously a member of the Fall Creek Township Advisory Board in Henry County, and was a former educator and Assistant Athletic Director at New Castle High School, and Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.

Criswell resides in Middletown, Indiana with his wife, Sabrina, and their two children, Caleb and Carlee. He is also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Lewisville Lodge #72 and the Sons of the American Legion, Middletown Post 216. He and his family are members of Blue River Church of the Nazarene.

According to the FBI's Internet Crime Report, Indiana reported over 11,000 cybercrime incidents in 2023, resulting in millions of dollars in losses. The report also shows that in 2023, the Internet Crime Complaint Center received a record number of complaints from the American public. More than 800,000 complaints were registered with potential losses exceeding $12 billion. This data highlights the increasing need to address cyber threats, scams and more.

These numbers continue to grow and that's why I supported a new law to protect this critical asset and food resource.

STATEHOUSE (March 15, 2024) – According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, veterans are more likely to die by suicide after going missing, and, unfortunately, Indiana's veteran suicide rate is higher than the national average. In 2021, nearly 140 Hoosier veterans died by suicide and over 6,000 nationwide.
