Biography:
State Rep. Brad Barrett graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in professional studies before attending The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine. He is a retired general surgeon, previously serving Wayne County for over 25 years. Barrett is a former president of General Surgeons, Inc. and currently serves as President-elect of the Indiana Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
Barrett’s involvement in the community includes serving on the board of directors for the Reid Health Foundation, as well as the Indiana State Medical Association Commission on Legislation. He continues to serve on the Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County Board and supports Girls Inc., Circle U and United Way.
Barrett and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Richmond and have two children, Erin and Drew.
House District 56 consists of a large portion of Wayne County in Eastern Indiana.
STATEHOUSE (Oct. 11, 2019) – Local communities were recently awarded over $1.6 million in state matching grants to accelerate road and bridge improvements, according to State Reps. Brad Barrett (R-Richmond) and Tom Saunders (R-Lewisville).
