Legislative interim study committees have kicked off, and lawmakers are coming together at the Statehouse to dive into policy issues and work to identify solutions.
So far, the Government Reform Task Force, Interim Study Committee on Courts and the Judiciary and the Artificial Intelligence Task Force have met to discuss everything from the use of AI in K-12 educational settings to the need for more streamlining of Indiana's boards, commissions, committees and other governing bodies.
Legislators will meet through the summer and early fall to hear testimony from the public, experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the next legislative session beginning in January.
The 2025 legislative interim study committee assignments and topics can be found here and legislative appointments for each committee are listed here.
