Interim Study Committee Topics Announced

The Indiana General Assembly's Legislative Council recently met to assign study committee topics for lawmakers to investigate during the 2026 legislative interim.

Each year, state representatives and senators meet in interim study committees dedicated to researching and discussing issues impacting Hoosiers in preparation for the next legislative session. Topics this year include child safety, funding sources for childcare, a review of workforce programs, property tax assessments and more.

Leaders of the House and Senate will assign members of the General Assembly to each study committee in the coming weeks.
