House Republicans recently participated in the national State Leadership Conference which offered an opportunity for state lawmakers and White House officials to foster collaboration and discuss the top issues affecting Hoosiers.
The conference offered ways for state legislators to explore how to strengthen Indiana's partnership with the federal government to better serve Hoosiers.
The lawmakers said the meeting highlighted many policy areas where Indiana is leading the nation, including efforts to strengthen education, reform Medicaid, improve public safety, unleash American energy and reduce bureaucracy.
Members said that having an open dialogue between state and federal government is beneficial for lawmakers and the communities they serve.
