Indiana had one of the nation's lowest rates of veteran unemployment in 2025, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Indiana's veteran unemployment rate of 1.7% places the Hoosier State below the national average of 3.5%. This comes as state agencies, including the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, continue to provide resources designed to assist veterans entering or transitioning within the workforce.
Through these state agencies, veterans are provided career and training-related services and employers can connect with qualified military talent.

A 2024 law strengthens the Military Family Relief Fund, which helps remove financial barriers that can make finding and keeping employment more difficult.
