Batter Up, Indiana! State Fair Runs Through Aug. 23

The 2026 Indiana State Fair is underway and runs daily (except Mondays) through Aug. 23.

This year's theme is 'Always a Hit', celebrating America's pastime and the nation's 250th anniversary in partnership with the Indianapolis Indians baseball team. Fairgoers can enjoy baseball exhibits and interactive baseball-themed displays, as well as rides, attractions like the Big Top Circus and free concerts included with the price of admission. A new exhibit from the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, The Electric Railway: Indiana’s Interurbans, is featured in the Meijer Family Fun Park at the fairgrounds. The exhibit is open every day and free with paid admission.

Another new exhibit this year, Rewind: A VHS Revival, is an immersive tribute to movie poster art that shaped pop culture from the 1980s through the early 2000s. This one-of-a-kind nostalgic experience features larger-than-life hand-painted movie poster displays, a baseball movie theatre and exclusive behind-the-scenes insights.

No state fair is complete without great food. This year's menu has expanded to include over 40 new items, such as the Grand Slam Mary, the Bananas Foster Cold Brew Float and the Cookie Butter Biscoff Funnel Cake. Click here to see all of this year’s new culinary options.

If you're planning your State Fair visit, the fair offers several ways to save. All State Fair advance deals and discounts are listed here, and a list of 100 free things to do at the fair can be found here. Come and experience one of Indiana's favorite summer traditions. The Indiana State Fair is a great opportunity to celebrate our state, connect with fellow Hoosiers and create lasting memories.

The State Fair is open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Buy tickets at the gate or on the State Fair website.
