STATEHOUSE (June 20, 2018) — State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola) was recently selected to serve on two summer study committees and on the Indiana Veterans’ Affairs Commission.
Zent is assigned to the Interim Study Committee on Government and the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health, and Human Services.
“In the public health committee this summer, we will discuss a number of important topics including the impact opioid treatment programs are having on our communities,” Zent said. “I served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, so I will also use my experiences to help lead discussions in the Veterans’ Affairs Commission. After leading the House Committee on Local Government this past session, I’m looking forward to gathering input from our state’s local cities and towns to continue streamlining functions.”
Zent said committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
