STATEHOUSE (June 27, 2019) — State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola) will serve on two summer study committees, which examine the state’s top issues and recommend potential legislation.
Zent will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Government, and as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services.
“Throughout the next several months, lawmakers will continue to review ways to streamline and revise statutes regarding state and local public works projects,” Zent said. “This has been an ongoing project to ensure local governments are not burdened by unnecessary or outdated regulations and can serve their communities as efficiently as possible.”
Zent said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
Zent will also serve on the Indiana Veterans’ Affairs Commission.
