STATEHOUSE (Dec. 19, 2016) — State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola) was recently selected to serve as chair of the House Committee on Local Government.
He was also named to the House Committee on Public Health and the House Committee on Veterans Affairs and Public Safety.
“These committee assignments reflect members’ unique skill sets and interests,” Zent said. “As a healthcare provider and a veteran, I look forward to these committee assignments which are in addition to my chairmanship of the House Committee on Local Government. I look forward to learning from my fellow representatives and the public as we seek to provide solutions that keep Indiana moving in the right direction.”
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 4, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2017 legislative session.
