STATEHOUSE- Rep. Matt Ubelhor's (R-Bloomfield) employee representation bill passed out of the Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor and will now move to the Senate floor for consideration.

House Bill 1203 ensures that employees have the right to participate in the secret ballot process. This bill will allow employees to decide whether or not they wish to have union representation and do in a secret manner.

This bill will mitigate the efficacy of the pressure tactics and strategies that some organizations engage in against employers and employees.

"It is time to put our foot down against these federal boards and regulations. If it is unfair, it is unfair, regardless of what the NLRA has decided. These good people that testified today have the right to a secret ballot." said Rep. Ubelhor.
