STATEHOUSE (April 14, 2020) – State Rep. Sharon Negele (R-Attica) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they served as pages during the 2020 legislative session:

  • Marianne Adams, from Remington, attends the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities;
  • Jacob Brouillette, from Oxford, attends Benton Central High School;
  • Kyra Buck, from Fowler, attends Benton Central High School;
  • Nathan Mock, from Clinton, attends South Vermillion High School;
  • Kendra Personett, from Royal Center, attends Pioneer High School;
  • Kendric Personett, from Royal Center, attends Pioneer Middle School;
  • Emily Smith, from Clinton, attends South Vermillion High School; and
  • Calli Snethen, from West Lafayette, attends Benton Central Middle School.

Through the Indiana House Page Program, these students toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Negele on the House floor to witness the legislative process.

“One of my favorite parts of session is getting to interact with pages from our community,” Negele said. “Their desire for learning, willingness to do more and the views they share about our local communities are encouraging."

Negele said that while this year’s page program has concluded, students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating in 2021.
