STATEHOUSE (March 19, 2020) – State Rep. Randy Lyness (R-West Harrison) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they served as pages during the 2020 legislative session:
Through the Indiana House Page Program, these students toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Lyness on the House floor to witness the legislative process.
“Meeting student pages is one of my favorite parts of the legislative session,” Lyness said. “It is a fun and informative experience for everyone involved. Besides providing these students a unique learning opportunity, it gives me a chance to connect with the youth in our communities and hear about what they are learning in school and their plans after graduation.”
Lyness said that while this session's page program has concluded, students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating in 2021.
