STATEHOUSE (March 20, 2020) – State Rep. Jeff Ellington (R-Bloomington) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they served as pages during the 2020 legislative session:

  • Isaac Ceaser, from Bloomfield, attends Arrows Baptist Academy;
  • Jennifer Ceaser, from Bloomfield, attends Arrows Baptist Academy;
  • Kristen Ceaser, from Bloomfield, attends Arrows Baptist Academy; and
  • Izabelle Hilderbrand, from Bloomfield, attends the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities.

Through the Indiana House Page Program, these students toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Ellington on the House floor to witness the legislative process.

"It was wonderful hosting these talented students at the Statehouse this legislative session," Ellington said. "Being a page is a special opportunity and I highly encourage others to participate, especially if they are interested in learning more about their state and how laws are made."

Ellington said that while this year’s page program has concluded, students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating in 2021. For more information, call 1-800-382-9841.
