STATEHOUSE (April 12, 2019) – State Rep. Bob Cherry (R-Greenfield) recently welcomed local student pages to the Statehouse.
As House pages, these students toured the governor’s office, the House and Senate chambers, and the Indiana Supreme Court. They also helped staff with their daily tasks and met with Cherry to learn more about the legislative process:
“Participating as a page is a great way to gain a better understanding of our state government and the legislative process,” Cherry said. “I welcome all students from our district to come spend a day at the Statehouse and learn more about the Indiana General Assembly.”
Students between the ages of 13 to 18 who are interested in paging this legislative session can learn more at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram. Participants receive an excused absence from school and groups can request to page together.
State Rep. Bob Cherry (R-Greenfield) represents House District 53,
which includes portions of Hancock and Madison counties.
