"To think that property tax bills would be based on household income rather than the value of the property is an absolute joke," said Rep. Borror. "I can't comprehend why Rep. Crawford thinks it is a good idea to tax property based on income, instead of assessed value of the property tax.

"This is not a well-thought-out idea. It was a last-minute shenanigan that he can't even explain the affects of. I think we need to sit down and ask ourselves as legislators, shouldn't we know how a bill is going to affect the state before we pass it?

"With this being said, I completely understand the need to vote for this harebrained idea. It is the only vehicle in the General Assembly that will provide permanent property tax relief."

Illegal Immigration

"This bill does little to punish illegal immigrants that have violated our countries laws," said Rep. Borror. "Instead, it goes after business. This bill will penalize small business, potentially putting Hoosiers out of work and punishing their families for someone else's mistake."
