STATEHOUSE (Oct. 30, 2017) – College Wood Elementary School and Zionsville Pleasant View Elementary School were among seven schools honored Monday by the Indiana Department of Education for receiving a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School Award, according to State Rep. Donna Schaibley (R-Carmel).
Schaibley said both schools were recognized for creating an educational atmosphere where excellence thrives and students are challenged every day to reach their full potential.
“Both College Wood and Zionsville Pleasant View showcase the very best our state has to offer in terms of educational opportunities,” Schaibley said. “Our community is lucky to have some of the best educators in the state that are determined to give students a solid foundation for their future.”
For 35 years, the U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has recognized outstanding elementary, middle and high schools that are high performing or have closed student achievement gaps. For more information, visit www.nationalblueribbonschools.ed.gov.
