STATEHOUSE (March 18, 2016) — State Rep. Tom Saunders (R-Lewisville) recently welcomed a group of fourth graders from Knightstown Intermediate School to the Statehouse.
“Hosting young Hoosiers at the Statehouse is one of my favorite things to do as a state representative,” Saunders said. “It is a great privilege to be able to show children how state government functions and to give them a first-hand look at the capitol building.”
The Knightstown students toured the Statehouse, including the Indiana Supreme Court and both the House and Senate chambers. Saunders spoke to the classes on the House floor about his legislative duties and the process in which a bill becomes a law.
Rep. Saunders (R-Lewisville) represents Henry County and portions of Rush and Wayne counties.
