STATEHOUSE (Dec. 16, 2016) — State Rep. Tom Saunders (R-Lewisville) was recently selected to serve on the House Committee on Roads and Transportation.
He was also named to the House Committee on Local Government and was appointed vice chair of the House Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation. Additionally, Saunders will be serving as the Assistant Majority Caucus Chair.
“As a member of the Roads Committee, our priority this year is to create a comprehensive, long-term road funding plan that will connect Hoosiers and businesses for years to come,” Saunders said. “I am also looking forward to serving in a leadership role and continuing to be a voice for east central Indiana at the Statehouse.”
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 4, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2017 legislative session.
