STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Tom Saunders (R-Lewisville) was recently named to three summer study committees, which examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.

Saunders will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation, the Indiana Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations and the Lewis and Clark Expedition Commission.

“After passing a long-term, sustainable road funding plan this year, we are hoping to continue making our road and transportation system even better for Hoosiers,” Saunders said. “Working on these study committees this summer will allow time to hear public testimony and consider possible legislation for the future.”

Saunders said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
