STATEHOUSE (Jan. 4, 2018) — Applications are open for students interested in participating in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2018 legislative session, according to State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola).
Pages have an opportunity to join Zent during the legislative session and tour the governor’s office, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the House and Senate chambers.
“Participants get to see how laws are made while assisting us with tasks in the House Chamber,” Zent said. “I hope to host many students from LaGrange and Steuben counties at the Statehouse for this unique opportunity.”
To be a page, applicants should be between the ages of 13 and 18. Zent said student pages receive an excused absence from school and groups can sign up to participate together.
The 2018 legislative session began this week, and must conclude by March 14. Zent said page positions fill quickly and encouraged participants to apply early online at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram or by calling 800-382-9841.
State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola) represents House District 51, which
includes most of LaGrange and Steuben counties.
