Statement: Rep. Ubelhor reacts to
Adjournment of 2012 Session
STATEHOUSE – “It has been an honor to work for the people of Indiana during this legislative session. Despite the short session, the Indiana General Assembly has tackled a number of important issues during the past few months, and I am hopeful that the legislation will have a positive impact on our state.
“We worked diligently to pass legislation that imposed harsher punishments for those found guilty of human-trafficking, and successfully ensured that this was the first bill signed by Gov. Daniels. We also had the opportunity to put legislation into place that we hope will improve Indiana’s economic development, and work towards getting Hoosiers back to work.
“We worked very hard to address the concerns voiced by Hoosiers prior to the start of the session, and we hope that we have been able to better our state and the livelihoods of all Hoosiers.”
