STATEHOUSE (Dec. 27, 2017) — Applications are open for students interested in participating in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2018 legislative session, according to State Rep. Alan Morrison (R-Brazil).
Pages have an opportunity to join Morrison during the legislative session and tour the governor’s office, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the House and Senate chambers.
“I highly recommend the House Page Program to students from our community,” Morrison said. “This program provides students with a unique, firsthand experience where they learn how the legislative process works.”
To be a page, applicants should be between the ages of 13 and 18. Morrison said student pages receive an excused absence from school and groups can sign up to participate together.
The 2018 legislative session begins Wednesday, Jan. 3, and must conclude by March 14.
Morrison said page positions fill quickly and encouraged participants to apply early online at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram or by calling 800-382-9841.
State Rep. Alan Morrison (R-Brazil) represents House District 42, which includes all of Vermillion County and portions of Clay, Fountain, Parke, Vigo and Warren counties.
