STATEHOUSE – “During the past days there have been a lot of misconceptions about Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). To address the confusion and concerns, I supported Senate Bill (SB) 50, which clarifies the intent and application of Indiana’s RFRA. RFRA does not allow discrimination against any Hoosier.
“I voted for RFRA and for SB 50 because I support religious freedom in our state for all. I want to make it perfectly clear that I am against discrimination in any form. I want to raise my children with Hoosier values of hospitality and respect and ensure that the rest of Indiana’s citizens have the opportunity to do the same. RFRA and its clarification are vital for preserving Hoosier freedom and equality.”
