Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from State Rep. Kevin Mahan (R-Hartford City) in your coverage of the Noblesville West Middle School shooting:

STATEHOUSE (May 25, 2018) - “Today is a time to focus our attention on the two victims, their families and the entire Noblesville community. As a former sheriff, I’d like to commend the efforts of law enforcement, first responders and Noblesville Schools on their swift response. The cohesiveness displayed between local, county, state and federal law enforcement, and first responders was key to quickly resolving the situation. Noblesville Schools’ emergency response plan promotes a three-pronged approach – plan, practice, prepare – and it’s my belief that helped mitigate today’s outcome. As the father of an eighth-grade student, this hits close to home. It’s now important for Hoosiers to rally around those in Noblesville.”

State Rep. Kevin Mahan represents House District 31, which includes

Blackford County and portions of Delaware, Grant and Wells counties.
