STATEHOUSE (April 1, 2021) – North Judson San Pierre High School graduate Alexandra Radtke is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Douglas Gutwein (R-Francesville) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2021 legislative session.
Radtke, a North Judson resident, is the daughter of Nathan and Robin Radtke. She attends Ball State University and is majoring in telecommunications.
"This internship provides experiences and builds on my portfolio to help me prepare for a career in the communications field," Radtke said. "Press secretaries I work with provide a lot of opportunities to create content and improve not only my writing abilities, but also teach me professional skills that I will carry with me in the future."
As an intern in the House Majority Communications Office, Radtke helps write press releases, create legislative handouts, update web pages and produce podcasts.
"The Statehouse is an exciting place to gain experience," Gutwein said. "Alexandra and the other interns are really opening doors to all types of career opportunities for themselves."
Each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
