STATEHOUSE – “The House Republicans worked hard this session, and in just two and a half months, we passed multiple bills to benefit Hoosier families. We focused on a handful of key concepts to make Indiana a stronger state, like approving highway construction projects that will create thousands of jobs, cutting red tape, better equipping our workforce and improving the quality of education. With the passage of these agenda bills, we delivered on our promises to make Indiana a better place for Hoosier to live, work and raise a family.

“As the Crossroads of America, I was particularly pleased that House Bill 1002 passed, which will strengthen Indiana’s transportation system, especially in our community. This bill opens up $400 million to support critical, state road projects as well as allows Indiana to access around $1.6 billion in federal funds. Not only does the passage of this bill sustain and improve our transportation infrastructure, it also puts more Hoosiers back to work by creating roughly 40,000 jobs statewide.”

Rep. Gutwein represents all of Pulaski County and portions of Fulton, Jasper, Newton and Starke counties.
