STATEHOUSE (March 5, 2018) — A South Ripley High School graduate is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) and his fellow members of the House of Representatives during the 2018 legislative session.
Kayla King, a resident of Holton, is the daughter of Phil and Kelly King. She is currently a student at the University of Southern Indiana studying accounting.
“Kayla is a great addition to our team,” Frye said. “We are fortunate to have her and all of the other interns here for session. I want to encourage students and recent graduates in our community to look into this opportunity to gain practical job experience and work alongside your elected representatives.”
As an intern in the House Majority Communications Office, King helps write press releases, create legislative handouts and assist with media relations.
Each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.

State Rep. Frye (R-Greensburg) represents House District 67, which includes Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties, as well as portions of Decatur, Jennings, Jefferson and Dearborn counties.
