STATEHOUSE (June 23, 2016) – State Rep. Sean Eberhart (R-Shelbyville) will be serving on the Interim Study Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources.
In preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January, interim study committee members meet to examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and identify potential legislation.
“This committee will work closely with the Department of Natural Resources to review the needs for maintenance, improvements and upgrades to our parks, reservoirs and nature preserves,” Eberhart said. “We are also charged with examining long-term funding sources for a trust fund – appropriately named after President Benjamin Harrison – reserved for projects dedicated to preserving public lands.”
Eberhart said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
Eberhart will also serve on the Military Base Planning Council and the Indiana White River State Park Development Commission.
Rep. Eberhart (R-Shelbyville) represents Shelby County and portions of Bartholomew and Hancock counties.
