EDITOR’S NOTE — Please include the following statement from State Representative Sean Eberhart (R-Shelbyville) in your coverage of Governor Pence’s State of the State address:

STATEHOUSE – “While each representative has their own legislation they want to see passed into law, the one responsibility that we all have this session is to pass Indiana’s biennial budget. During his State of the State Address, I was pleased to hear the governor echo our intent to pass an honestly balanced budget that does not increase the burden on Hoosier taxpayers.

“Over the years, I have admired the governor’s willingness to work with members of the House to make the difficult decisions necessary to cut government waste and keep Indiana’s economy in the black. These responsible spending decisions are what will allow us to continue to invest in our strategic priorities this session.”
