Rep. Culver appointed Chairman of Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation

STATEHOUSE - House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced standing committee assignments for the 119th General Assembly. Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election.

State Representative Wes Culver (R-Goshen) has been appointed Chairman of the Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation Committee. He will also serve on the Commerce, Small Business; and Economic Development Committee; Financial Institutions Committee and Select Committee on Government Reduction.

“It is an honor to be appointed to these committees,” said Rep. Culver. “I look forward to the challenges ahead as we continue to take Indiana in the right direction.”

Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process.  Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.
“I am confident in the abilities of each of these leaders, and I know they are all eager to begin their work,” said Speaker Bosma.
