STATEHOUSE (Dec. 2, 2016) — State Rep. Tony Cook (R-Cicero) has been selected to serve on State Superintendent-Elect Dr. Jennifer McCormick’s transition team as she prepares to take office in January.
According to McCormick, the state superintendent-elect’s team is made up of 17 accomplished individuals who have spent their careers directly helping students, educators, schools and communities. She said each person brings unique experiences and expertise to the transition team.
“I am honored to assist Dr. McCormick with the organization of her Department and appointment of staff, in order to ensure that her transition to office, and the important work she will oversee, goes as smoothly as possible,” Cook said. “We will make sure her department is staffed by highly qualified individuals who will assist her by positively and successfully leading the department in an effective manner.”
The first meeting of the transition team was held Thursday, Dec. 1.
State Rep. Tony Cook (R-Cicero) represents House District 32, which includes all of Tipton County and portions of Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Howard and Grant counties.
