INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 19, 2016) – State Rep. Tony Cook (R-Cicero) paired his sneakers with his suit today at the Statehouse to help raise cancer awareness.

“According to the American Cancer Society, more than 13,000 Indiana residents were expected to die of cancer last year alone, which translates to approximately 36 people every day,” Cook said. “This Suits and Sneakers Challenge is a great opportunity for lawmakers to join the fight against this awful disease, which is taking so many lives.”

The Suits and Sneakers challenge is an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to help raise cancer awareness and support those affected by the disease.
