Rep. Cook: Hamilton County student gaining experience with the legislature

STATEHOUSE (March 1, 2016) – State Rep. Tony Cook (R-Cicero) welcomes Hamilton County resident, Gabe Sachs, to the Statehouse where he is interning with the House of Representatives during the 2016 legislative session.

Sachs, a resident of Westfield, is the son of Mike Sachs and Debra Schoeller. A Westfield High School graduate, Sachs currently attends Purdue where he is majoring in political science and communications.

As a policy intern, Sachs analyzes amendments and proposals for new laws, helps prepare committee reports for legislators, researches the Indiana code, and assists staff and policymakers with legislative and fiscal inquiries.

The House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
