STATEHOUSE (Feb. 10, 2016) — State Rep. Tony Cook (R-Cicero) welcomes local resident, Erin Moorhous, to the Statehouse where she is interning with the House of Representatives during the 2016 legislative session.

Moorhous, a resident of Arcadia, is the daughter of Greg and Kathy Moorhous. A Hamilton Heights High School graduate, Moorhous currently attends IUPUI where she is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting.

“It’s a small world,” Cook said. “I was the superintendent of Hamilton Heights School Corporation when Erin was in high school, and I am very proud of her.”

As an intern in the House Majority Communications Office, Moorhous helps write press releases, create legislative handouts and set up press conferences.

The House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
