(STATEHOUSE) 5, 2008 - "Spending the day with David Ford was like spending a day with an encyclopedia," said Rep. Randy Borror (R- Fort Wayne). "He had a vast amount of knowledge. He was sincere and always concerned for rural communities and small towns. "David and I appeared at Purdue University for the Advanced Manufacturing summit a couple years ago. I was honored to be on the panel with him, because of his knowledge of the issues and vision for the future of Indiana. "In the summer of 2005, David and I started the economic development forum of thoughtful leaders throughout Indiana. We meet on a monthly basis to discuss the state's economy, bringing jobs to Indiana and seeing the state succeed. He was a great partner in trying to crystallize the state's economy and developing good policy for Indiana. "He will be terribly missed by all of us that worked with him and got to know him. He was a great guy."
