End Date: 3/2/2010

STATEHOUSE- House Bill (HB) 1001, a major ethics reform package co-authored by State Rep. Mike Murphy (R-Indianapolis), has passed the House and Senate unanimously.

"I'm extremely pleased that this bill will finally become law," said Rep. Murphy. "Sen. Patricia Miller served as Senate sponsor and our partner on the bill and we were thankful for her input.

"Hoosier state legislators are upright and upstanding citizens, but we wanted to codify some further transparency provisions so that our constituents can breathe easier knowing that in the future, their elected officials will have nothing but the best intentions while serving them in the Statehouse."
