Rep. Kirchhofer to serve as Vice Chair
STATEHOUSE— House Republican Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) has announced committee members for the Indiana House Republican caucus. Committee chairmen and caucus leaders are selected biennially by the majority party after each election year.
Rep. Cindy Kirchhofer (R-Indianapolis) has been selected to serve as Vice Chairman of Veterans Affairs and Public Safety.
“I am honored to serve the Legislature as Vice Chair of the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee, a committee that is vital to our men and women who have served in uniform,” said Rep. Kirchhofer.
In addition to being Vice Chair, Rep. Kirchhofer has also been selected as a member of the following committees:
• Natural Resources
• Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation
Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.
“This session, there will be many important issues brought before the House, and I am thrilled to work with my fellow legislators as we continue our efforts to strengthen Indiana,” said Rep. Kirchhofer.
Rep. Kirchhofer (R-Beech Grove) represents portions of Marion County. Rep. Kirchhofer serves as Vice Chairman of Veterans Affairs and Public Safety and also serves on the Natural Resources Committee, the Insurance Committee and the Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation.
