STATEHOUSE- The Indiana Chamber of Commerce released their annual Legislative Vote Analysis earlier this week, ranking Rep. Cindy Kirchhofer (R-Beech Grove) as a pro-jobs legislator.

In her first year as a legislator, Rep. Kirchhofer received a score of 93 percent based on her voting record on legislation that would improve Indiana's economy and workforce, supporting the House Republican plans to strengthen Indiana.

"The chamber's support and recognition is truly an honor," said Rep. Kirchhofer. "As legislators, we need to do what we can to ensure Indiana's economy continues to prosper."

The Chamber's Vote Analysis is produced after every legislative session. The legislator's scores are determined by bills' and select amendments' impact on the state's economy.

Some pieces of legislation included in the analysis that the Indiana Chamber highlights were: HEA 1004, which increases access to start-up capital for Indiana businesses in addition to lowering the corporate income tax rate; HEA 1006, which promotes economic development locally and regionally; and HEA 1007, which allows enhanced abatement schedules and hiring incentives to encourage local job growth.

"Some of the new legislation presents a great opportunity for businesses to thrive in Indiana," Rep. Kirchhofer said. "Successful businesses will now have additional resources to expand and create more jobs for Hoosiers."
