STATEHOUSE (Nov. 5, 2008) - House Republicans re-elected their top leadership positions during Wednesday's caucus in the Statehouse.

Re-elected by acclamation were Rep. Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) as House Republican Leader, Rep. Bill Friend (R-Macy) as Republican Floor Leader and Rep. Kathy Kreag Richardson (R-Noblesville) as Republican Caucus Chairwoman. Reps. Bosma, Friend and Richardson have been top caucus leadership for six years.

"I am honored that my House Republican colleagues have faith in our leadership team, and we pledge to work with the governor and our Democrat colleagues to move Indiana forward," Rep. Bosma said. "We have an energetic and dynamic caucus, and we will encourage, we will challenge and we will persist in our efforts to focus the legislative debate on progress rather than partisanship."

The 116th General Assembly will gather for Organization Day on Nov. 18.
