Rep. Ober sworn in on Organization Day
STATEHOUSE – State Representative Dave Ober (R-Albion) joined fellow legislators at the Statehouse for Organization Day where all 100 members of the Indiana House were sworn in by Chief Justice Loretta Rush. Rep. Ober represents House District 82 which includes Noble County and portions of Allen, Elkhart, LaGrange and Whitley counties.
“I am honored to represent my district in the 119th General Assembly,” said Rep. Ober. “My goal is to serve my constituents to the best of my ability, working to improve our community as well as Indiana’s economic environment.”
In October, House Republicans released their 2015 legislative agenda which addresses four major topics: the biennial budget, education, ethics and public safety. Since the state’s biennial budget is up for review next legislative session, passing an honestly balanced budget that does not increase taxes on Hoosiers or place unsustainable financial burdens on future generations serves as the foundation of the House Republican agenda.
“While many issues need to be addressed during the upcoming session, passing an honestly balanced budget is the cornerstone of our agenda and ensures Indiana’s continued fiscal stability,” said Rep. Ober. “I also look forward to reviewing the education funding formula and making it more equitable for all communities across Indiana.”
Rep. Ober represents all of Noble County and portion of Allen, Elkhart, LaGrange and Whitley counties.
