Rep. Ober appointed to new leadership role
STATEHOUSE – House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced that State Representative Dave Ober (R-Albion) will be serving in a new leadership role as an Assistant Majority Whip. These positions are appointed biennially by the Speaker after each election year.
“I am humbled by my new role as an Assistant Majority Whip,” said Rep. Ober. “This position will provide me with an additional opportunity to participate in lending my voice to good policy making for the state.”
In his position of Assistant Majority Whip, Rep. Ober will support the Majority Whip, State Representative Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute).
“As legislators, we are given significant responsibility to represent our communities which makes each vote we make on legislation essential to the process,” said Rep. Ober.
Speaker Bosma also announced committee chairmen along with the leadership appointments. Full committee announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
Rep. Ober represents all of Noble County and portion of Allen, Elkhart, LaGrange and Whitley counties.
